Expansion plan Taco Bell Spain

taco-bell-grupofeniceTaco Bell España, fastfood concept of Mexican food inspired in a California environment, has confirmed its expansion plan in Spain for the next 5 years. The announcement follows the agreement signed between Casual Brands Group, franchisee solely responsible for its development in Spain, and Yum! Brands, the world leader in number of fast food restaurants.

It is planned Casual Brands Group investment by a total of 40 million euros in the opening of 50 new restaurants of the American firm, between 2016 and 2020. This expansion process will create approximately 1000 posts direct jobs in chain restaurants. The agreement reached by Casual Brands Group and Yum! Brands comes after the success of the expansion strategy of the Taco Bell brand in our country, the first step has been consolidated with the opening of 10 new restaurants, going from 13 to a total of 23 restaurants in the Spanish territory in 2015.

María José Michavila, CEO of Casual Brands Group stated “This project is a new challenge after having successfully completed the first phase of growth. As for investment, it is one of the most ambitious expansions of Taco Bell internationally for what we have the support of Yum! Brands as a world leader in the catering sector. But at the same time, it involves the creation of over 1,000 direct jobs, thanks to the opening of more than 50 stores by 2020".

The success of opening plan this past year will position Casual Brands Group as one of the first operators of restoration in Spain and one of the main Taco Bell franchisees worldwide.

The relevance of Casual Brands Group as franchisee has already been recognized by the brand in the last Taco Bell FRANMAC 2015 Convention held in Las Vegas, giving the Spanish group Franchisee of the Year award. This recognition is a double milestone, as also is the first time an international franchisee of Taco Bell receives this award.
